{"id":8473,"date":"2025-07-03T16:22:58","date_gmt":"2025-07-03T19:22:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/autosdelpodio.com\/autos\/?p=8473"},"modified":"2025-07-03T16:22:59","modified_gmt":"2025-07-03T19:22:59","slug":"el-ford-focus-argentino-segunda-parte","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/autosdelpodio.com\/autos\/el-ford-focus-argentino-segunda-parte\/","title":{"rendered":"El Ford Focus argentino \u2013 Segunda Parte"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/autosdelpodio.com\/autos\/el-ford-focus-argentino-primera-parte\/\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En agosto de 2013 la segunda generaci\u00f3n del Focus fue discontinuada y de inmediato comenz\u00f3 la producci\u00f3n de la tercera que demand\u00f3 parte fr una inversi\u00f3n de 200 millones de d\u00f3lares destinados a producir plataformas globales. A pesar de mantenerse entre los diez m\u00e1s vendidos del mercado local, en esta oportunidad, la estrategia de Ford fue evitar la convivencia comercial de ambas generaciones como parte de su compromiso de ofrecer en el pa\u00eds solo veh\u00edculos globales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Ford Focus III llegaba con el antecedente de haber sido en 2012 el veh\u00edculo l\u00edder en ventas a nivel mundial con m\u00e1s de un mill\u00f3n de unidades. Por entonces, era comercializado en 120 mercados y se fabricaba en cuatro continentes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Esta generaci\u00f3n se destacaba por su equipamiento tanto en tecnolog\u00eda como en seguridad. Entre otros \u00edtems ofrec\u00eda sistema de estacionamiento asistido, pantalla t\u00e1ctil LCD de 8 pulgadas con interface para controlar diferentes funciones, apertura y arranque sin llave, c\u00e1mara de estacionamiento trasera y sensores de estacionamiento delanteros y traseros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En el dise\u00f1o exterior, el Focus III incorpor\u00f3 detalles como los faros delanteros Bi-Xenon con lava faros ocultos. En materia de seguridad pasiva, sum\u00f3 seis airbags: frontales para conductor y pasajero, laterales en los asientos delanteros y laterales tipo cortina para ambas plazas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En cuanto a la mec\u00e1nica, solo hab\u00eda dos motorizaciones disponibles, ambas nafteras y heredadas de la generaci\u00f3n previa pero con distribuci\u00f3n variable TI-VCT. Las versiones SE, SE Plus y Titanium estaban equipadas con el Duratec 2.0 16v con una potencia incrementada a 170 caballos de potencia gracias a un sistema de inyecci\u00f3n directa de combustible. Para la versi\u00f3n S, el motor era el Sigma 1.6 16v con inyecci\u00f3n indirecta y 125 cv. Ambos motores se acoplaban a una caja manual de cinco velocidades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La novedad de esta generaci\u00f3n fue la incorporaron de la novedosa transmisi\u00f3n Powershift secuencial de seis velocidades, exclusiva para las versiones 2.0 SE Plus y Titanium. La opci\u00f3n turbodi\u00e9sel fue discontinuada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dos a\u00f1os m\u00e1s tarde, esta generaci\u00f3n recibi\u00f3 una actualizaci\u00f3n estil\u00edstica reflejada en el exterior a trav\u00e9s de una parrilla con forma hexagonal, faros alargados y dos nervaduras sobre el cap\u00f3. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durante 2014 y 2015, el Focus se consolid\u00f3 como l\u00edder absoluto en el segmento de autos medianos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En 2016 y 2017, la l\u00ednea Focus sum\u00f3 mejoras de equipamiento de seguridad para todas las versiones que incluyeron control de estabilidad, control de tracci\u00f3n, control de torque en curva, asistencia al arranque en pendiente, luces diurnas de leds, alarma volum\u00e9trica, espejo interior fotocrom\u00e1tico y sensor de lluvia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pero a pesar de la actualizaci\u00f3n de estilo y de equipamiento, el Ford Focus debi\u00f3 enfrentarse a los cambios en la tendencia del mercado hacia los veh\u00edculos de tipo SUV, en detrimento de los sedanes y <em>hatchback <\/em>del segmento C, que afectaron seriamente su performance comercial tanto en Argentina como en Brasil. En 2018, Ford tom\u00f3 la decisi\u00f3n de discontinuar este modelo a partir del a\u00f1o siguiente. Fue el \u00faltimo sed\u00e1n de la marca fabricado en el pa\u00eds.
