{"id":9087,"date":"2026-04-01T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-04-01T03:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/autosdelpodio.com\/autos\/?p=9087"},"modified":"2026-03-31T20:51:25","modified_gmt":"2026-03-31T23:51:25","slug":"el-volkswagen-polo-segunda-parte","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/autosdelpodio.com\/autos\/el-volkswagen-polo-segunda-parte\/","title":{"rendered":"El Volkswagen Polo \u2013 Segunda Parte"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/autosdelpodio.com\/autos\/el-volkswagen-polo-primera-parte\/\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A fines de 1996 se incorpor\u00f3 la variante naftera con el conocido motor AP 1600, derivado del Gol, aunque con ajustes espec\u00edficos y sistema de inyecci\u00f3n Magneti Marelli que elevaron la potencia a 88 cv (DIN) sin afectar el consumo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un a\u00f1o m\u00e1s tarde debut\u00f3 la versi\u00f3n 1.8 Mi, impulsada por el AP 1800 de 1.781 cc. Equipado con inyecci\u00f3n electr\u00f3nica multipunto digital DEF1 Magneti Marelli, desarrollaba 98 cv (DIN) a 5.500 rpm y permit\u00eda al sed\u00e1n superar los 185 km\/h. Exteriormente se distingu\u00eda apenas por nuevas llantas de aleaci\u00f3n de dise\u00f1o m\u00e1s deportivo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En 1999 lleg\u00f3 una de las variantes m\u00e1s interesantes de la gama: la 1.9 TDI. Su turbodi\u00e9sel de 1.896 cc entregaba 90 cv (DIN) a 4.000 rpm y mejoraba de forma notable las prestaciones, con una velocidad m\u00e1xima cercana a los 180 km\/h. A la vez, manten\u00eda un consumo contenido, del orden de los siete litros cada 100 kil\u00f3metros en uso urbano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La crisis econ\u00f3mica de 2001 y el consecuente impacto en el precio de los combustibles modificaron las prioridades del mercado. En agosto de 2002, Volkswagen respondi\u00f3 con una versi\u00f3n 1.6 adaptada a GNC, equipada con un sistema Landi Renzo de origen italiano, instalado y garantizado por la f\u00e1brica. Si bien las prestaciones resultaban levemente inferiores a las de la versi\u00f3n naftera convencional, el menor costo por kil\u00f3metro recorrido compensaba ampliamente esa diferencia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por entonces, la l\u00ednea ya hab\u00eda recibido una actualizaci\u00f3n interior con nuevo panel de instrumentos, tapizados renovados y redise\u00f1o de asientos, aunque sin cambios significativos en el exterior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ese mismo a\u00f1o dej\u00f3 de exportarse a Brasil, donde fue reemplazado por el Polo Sed\u00e1n. Sin embargo, la sostenida demanda local motiv\u00f3 a Volkswagen a prolongar su ciclo de vida. En 2005 present\u00f3 un <em>restyling<\/em> que incorpor\u00f3 elementos est\u00e9ticos inspirados en el SEAT C\u00f3rdoba \u2014modelo del que se produjeron en Pacheco unas pocas unidades en 1999\u2014. Las modificaciones incluyeron nuevos faros delanteros, parrilla redise\u00f1ada, paragolpes actualizados y \u00f3pticas traseras renovadas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La actualizaci\u00f3n permiti\u00f3 extender la producci\u00f3n del Polo Classic argentino hasta 2008.
